More students than ever before have achieved both English and maths grades at a 5 or above, and at a 4 and above in 2025.
The Huntingdon school said they are “enormously proud” of the pupils.
Students who achieved notable results are Alastair Marsh, Evan Pentney, Izzy Tuer, Emma Tateno, Delilah Johnson, Bella Last, Olivia Dobos and Katy Kiernan.
Special mentions also went to Daniel Spencer, Evie Summerfield, Remi Borowski, James Croft, Charlotte Braithwaite, Ted Purser, Roman Brudenell-Bush and Lara Bertran.
Principal Andy Hunter said: “Since they missed Year 6 SATS due to Covid, this group of students have been living with a level of uncertainty about how they might perform at GCSE. They have answered that question loud and clear – they performed superbly. Due to their hard work and determination, they have set a new benchmark for success at Hinchingbrooke School.”
Vice Principal Anna Nightingale added: “This year group have worked exceptionally hard and taken every opportunity offered to them, and so deserve this fantastic set of results.
“They should be exceptionally proud of themselves, and we wish them every success in their future endeavours.”
The students are now preparing for their next steps, either at Hinchingbrooke Sixth Form or another Post-16 centre.

It has been an exceptional A-Level results day for Hinchingbrooke School students, who achieved the best ever Post-16 results. Pupils at the Huntingdon school had an overall pass rate of 99.7 per cent, with the number of A* grades attained at 8 per cent.
59 per cent of students achieved grades ranging from A* to B. The vocational results at the school had an “outstanding” 100 per cent pass rate. Blake D, who achieved five A*grades and Leon W, who attained four A* grades. Rosie M picked up three A* grades and one A, and Jemima T received three A*s, as did Malachy W. Connor S, Ashley S, Agatha L and Pippa B all attained two A*s and two As. Ines L achieved two A*s and an A. Rosie will be attending the University of Oxford to study biology and will be joined by her best friend, Ines L, at the University where she will study psychology and philosophy.
The students who made “extraordinary progress” this year were; Jasper R, Timothy G, Sol C, Nathanael N, Leslie A, Cody H, Tilly M, Isla H, Kate B and Lily N. Vicky Rix, Head of Sixth Form at Hinchingbrooke, said she was “absolutely delighted by these results”.
This cohort were a delight to work with in our Sixth Form and we are excited to discover what the future holds now they have achieved these fantastic outcomes.” She also thanked staff, “who go above and beyond”, parents and carers for their involvement in the student’s success.
Principal, Andy Hunter said: “This is an exceptional set of results from a group of students who really made the most of their time at Hinchingbrooke Sixth Form. They have been wonderful young leaders and role models for our younger students, as well as working hard academically. They richly deserve this success.”
We were delighted at the success of our first ever Hinchingbrooke Sixth Form Culture Day! This event, proposed, organised and led by Leslie, Margarida and Kate was designed to celebrate the diversity and cultural richness of our wonderful Sixth Form family.
We had representation from a multitude of countries and the students involved shared their food, clothing, traditional dress of their cultural heritage to the rest of the Sixth Form.
Everyone had the opportunity to ‘pin a flag’ on a world map and it was enlightening for us all to see the global reach of our 412 students.
The day was full of joy and the event was absolutely packed!!
